Aravind is a rare breed - he applies a unique lens to solve global challenges at the intersection of Technology and Public Policy: 

He is multidisciplinary and a jack of all trades: from formally advising the Indian Parliament on economic reforms (at age 28), to coding YouTube’s first child safety review tooling. 
Has impact across: Technology (Product & Engineering), Macroeconomics, Fiscal Policy, Energy Policy, etc.

He pioneered India's first data analytics system for evaluating state policymaker performance and has advised over 100 policymakers on fiscal policies. Aravind served as an expert witness to the Indian Parliament on bankruptcy law reforms and has trained numerous policymakers on fiscal policy. He also led a student delegation to the US Congress to advocate for higher education policy improvements.

He has been a Product Lead at Google for 7 years to make YouTube one of the safest platform for 2B+ users. Before that, he was a Sr Researcher at a non-partisan think tank in India leading Macroeconomics & Finance verticals. He started his career as a Design Engineer of Server CPUs.

### Independent fundraiser @ Mental Health Awareness and Modern Slavery

	Raised more than $10K and created 2k social media followers to raise awareness on mental health issues and modern slavery.
	Designed interactive web portals and convincing schemes to encourage visitors to opt in and donate; integrated payment gateways in the web portals; used marketing campaigns to mobilize social media.

### Policy Lead @ American Jobs Project

Under the leadership of former Governor of Michigan Jennifer Granholm, working on designing nonpartisan policy recommendations for creating jobs in Pennsylvania’s clean energy industry. As part of the project, I:
o	Thoroughly researched the energy ecosystem of the state to identify clean energy industry clusters with tremendous scope for development – Solar and Smart Building products.
o	Interviewed key stakeholders including Governor of Pennsylvania, job creators, lobbyists, non-profits, academics and local governments to identify gaps in their collective efforts to expand these industry clusters to create jobs.
o	Proposed innovative, effective and practical policy recommendations to increase the demand and manufacturing capacity for Solar and Smart Building products in the state.

### Intern and Research Assistant @ Innovations for Poverty Action

Worked on qualitative research, quantitative analysis and survey design of a large scale Randomized Control Trial related to seasonal credit in rural Zambia. Traveled to more than 30 remote villages of Zambia interviewing people in focus groups. Understood various consumption smoothing mechanisms exercised by rural households and the impacts of loan programs on their decisions.

### Design Engineer @ Intel Corporation
Jan 2011 – Jan 2013
Was part of Validation team validating cache coherency of Intel's Skylake Server processor. Developed C++ and Specman based components which helped the team find bugs with increased efficiency at an earlier stage of the project. Also worked on Address map setup of the validation environment.
