Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver core UX patterns and interaction design for Android XR platform, building scalable design systems and communication design patterns aligned with Google Material Design standards
• Create comprehensive system-level design frameworks, design systems, and UI guidelines for consumer-facing experiences, ensuring consistency, scalability, and end-to-end systems thinking across Android's global device footprint
• XR interaction patterns and user experiences, shaping motion design patterns, micro-interactions, and animation systems that enhance user engagement across devices
• Lead user research initiatives with 10+ participants across diverse global audiences, developing deep understanding of user needs, behaviors, and motivations to advise design decisions and optimize user flows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, researchers, UX writers, and engineers, influencing and aligning design decisions to deliver high-quality, high-craft experiences
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative design culture
