Design and development of backend systems that consumed data from various real estate data sources, normalize, and serve up in central repo for other teams to consume:

• Performed as primary support engineer for legacy backend systems. Collaborated with OPS and DBAs to ensure production ran without interruptions

• Designed and implemented SQS to ActiveMQ micro-service that plugged in data to existing data pipeline

• Collaborated with Rentals team to design and implement new feature “Room for Rent” on website and backend platforms

• Support Data Warehouse, Search, Communications team’s requests to augment current system and add new features to legacy system

• Maintain and implemented alerting system using PagerDuty integrated with Nagios, DataDog, or CloudWatch

Worked with team developers, PM’s, and RETS vendors to acquire, map, and QA real estate listings from MLS’ and brokers using an in-house application hosted on AWS.

• Created and maintained common groovy script library used by all team members for data normalization

• Mapped data from over 100 data sources

• Developed and maintained code to in-house application (Dozer)

• Maintained and modified ftp reporting applications

• Created basic scripts for real estate agent roster processing
