Working at the Center for Language and Speech Processing (CLSP)

Creating a Python package for universal voice activity detection, trained on diverse and large-scale datasets, with applications for downstream tasks like Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and speaker diarization.

Collaborated with the Washington State Department of Licensing to develop an application assisting teen drivers in their path to mastering driving skills. The app provides scenarios for hazard anticipation, maintaining focus amid distractions, and reinforcing good driving practices.

This will be rolled out to over 15,000 teen drivers in the state of Washington

Spearheaded front-end development using React to architect and implement interactive driver training and testing modules, featuring scenarios for real-world challenges.

Orchestrated back-end tasks, including database design, user session management, authentication implementation, and route development for the seamless administration of training and testing modules.

Working at the Center for Language and Speech Processing (CLSP).

Developed a algorithm to enhance Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) by integrating Grapheme-to-Phoneme models, contributing to improved pronunciation accuracy across 130 languages.
