DB2 for z/OS, developing, creating, and executing test plans and test cases for this product. Also responsible for building both distributed and Mainframe test environments, test applications, and processes that support both the automated and manual testing for the product. Also created and maintained appropriate automation tools and scripts to assist in data creation and test validation.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test with the Microsoft PowerPoint team, ensured the product’s quality by making sure it performs as users expect it to. Worked hand in hand with the Program Managers and Software Development Engineers to design, develop, and maintain automation systems for use in development and testing cycles. Utilized and created testing tools to help analyze source code for trouble spots, debugging and isolating problems, and executing creative tests to find new bugs while regression testing recent fixes.

Worked with a Senior SDET to help build a Stress Test Tool that sits on top of the product and during my time there was able to expose bugs in the new product being created. The tool is being used to help with various testing scenarios and was an enhancement on the current automation system being used.

QA DB2 for z/OS, worked with various areas of DB2 and was responsible for developing, creating, and executing test plans and test cases for this product. Gained skills in building z/OS DB2 objects with DDL and DB2 Utilities.

This experience included creating both static and dynamic SQL statements, the creation of stored procedures, and creating the necessary DB2 packages, tables, and indexes.
