### Lead Engineer @ Origami Logic (Acquired by Intuit)

Origami Logic is a search-focused marketing analytics platform used by Fortune 1000 brands to help measure, analyze, and optimize their marketing efforts. 

As Lead for the analytics team, I conceived, designed and developed a new real-time analytics platform that powers cross-channel marketing campaigns for some of the largest brands on the planet. Built on top of Spark, HBase and lots of Scala.

Reunify is a social analytics company that develops consumer profiles through analysis of massive amounts of social media, enterprise, census and other data sources. 

As 1st engineer and lead, I architected all of core infrastructure and helped build the product from scratch. I also had the opportunity to set the tone for engineering culture and build the team. The platform included large-scale data ingestion, machine learning, an analytics layer and a real-time customer intelligence api.

Stack: Amazon AWS, Hadoop, MapReduce, HBase, Avro. Java, Scala. Grails, Protovis. Mondrian, MySQL/Vertica.

### Software Developer @ Language Weaver
Jan 2008 – Jan 2010
Language Weaver (acquired: SDL) built a commercial machine translation product. The company was a spin out from the University of Southern California's research labs (ISI) and funded by In-Q-Tel and the Tech Coast Angels. 

I helped build out a large scale data processing pipeline that applied machine learning/text processing algorithms to train a human language translation system. Built first on a distributed computing platform called Condor, I helped rewrite it on Hadoop MapReduce and HBase. I also worked on R&D of some of the core machine algorithms involved in machine translation.
