Primarily developer of computation engine of Live Insights product, a scalable low-latency real-time stream-processing system.  This system takes in raw data and computes all the real-time metrics that displayed in the GUI console to external customers and monitored for operations purposes.  It processes hundreds of megabytes per second, and can handle milions of concurrent users of the company’s live video platform. From scratch, designed and implemented the system.  Worked closely with Product Management to define metrics.  Optimized computation. Parallelized the system using concepts drawn from MapReduce. Profiled memory and processor usage for code and design optimizations. Created suite of jUnit tests and system-level tests.  Extended the system to be highly-available.
