# Ashish Fernandez > GenAI Post-Training Operations, Gemini Location: Mountain View, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/ashishfernandez Who I am: I'm a customer-focused leader in business and product strategy, focused on growing business. I'm a first principles thinker who leverages self-made frameworks and data to make decisions and execute. How I work: Most of my experience relies on my dynamic ability to collaborate cross-functionally across UX, marketing, product, engineering, data, sales, and business. I'm known for my communication and interpersonal skills especially when it comes to influencing without authority and tailoring messaging to any level of seniority in an organization. I love coaching and mentoring others to develop their careers and helping them become better professionals. I also have extensive experience with generative AI and can use it effectively to greatly increase my and my team's productivity. Where I thrive: My best roles are ones where I've had a direct hand in creating incremental value and scale through owning the execution of my strategy, operations, and frameworks. What I've done: My biggest career achievements were accomplished without prior experience in their associated areas, requiring me to quickly adapt, learn, and execute through figuring things out using first principles. I find this challenge incredibly fun. I am best known for being able to transform large ambiguous scopes to well-defined, executable roadmaps even without prior direct experience. I also tell jokes. 🥁 ------------------------------------- A few career highlights: • Launching & scaling Google Fi's retail business from 0 to millions in ARR • Building a Sales AI startup to help SDRs and AEs qualify up to 5X more leads each day • Leading a technical telecom team at OXIO to improve customer support and internal XFn processes • Building and scaling Google logistics channels and NPI programs • Driving extra economic value as a senior economist at Shell • Process engineering and operations initiatives in oil & gas at Shell ## Work Experience ### Program Manager -
