apartments. ### Product Designer @ Brilliant Smart Home Jan 2022 – Jan 2024 | San Mateo, California • Sole product designer in a fast-paced startup leading end-to-end user experiences for consumer & enterprise platforms to support 4 product managers & 20+ engineers. • Designing consumer-facing features for the mobile app & Smart Home Control platform (with a focus on mobile experiences) to help users set up, control, & manage smart home devices in an all-in-one system for 45K+ homes across the US and Canada. • Building enterprise experiences on web and mobile to help building managers seamlessly transition residents into smart apartments for upcoming deployments. • Collaborating cross-functionally with PMs and engineers to build feasible solutions that meet business needs, user needs, and technical constraints. • Maintaining 3 design systems consisting of 1K components and expanding component libraries for all platforms to support new UX/UI, streamline design processes, and Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 | San Mateo, California • Led overhaul of various settings experiences to establish design standards and improve feature parity between control panel and mobile app. Introduced sets of new components to the design library. • Collaborated with PM and engineering to improve onboarding experience for mobile app users and surface relevant features. • Designed and shipped features to launch & support new/existing third-party integrations, such as Resideo and Hunter Douglas, for the control panel and mobile app. • Conducted user interviews with PM to discover user frustrations and identified areas of improvement in the core experience. ### Product Design Intern @ Brilliant Smart Home Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 | San Mateo, California • Designed a new experience for users to set up smart lights from the mobile app, in collaboration with the product manager and engineers. • Led initiative to simplify the settings experience on the mobile app, resulting in new components added to the design library. • Created high-fidelity prototypes to demo new and planned features for external stakeholders in preparation for the Resideo partnership. ### UX Design and Research Intern @ Greenpeace International Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 Collaborated with Greenpeace in a partnership with the Everett Program at UCSC to design a web feature for National/Regional Offices and campaign managers to educate users on campaign initiatives and improve user engagement for environmental campaigns. ### Web Developer @ Tech4Good Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 | Santa Cruz, California Built UI components using HTML/CSS for Relate, a website used to host/play virtual icebreakers to spark conversation and collect feedback on community issues. ### Research Fellow @ Tech4Good Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 | Santa Cruz, California, United States Drafted academic paper and conducted a pilot study to study the influence of small group activities on societal collaboration. ### UX/UI Designer @ Tech4Good Jan 2019 – Jan 2021 | Santa Cruz, California • Worked under the guidance of Professor Lee to design the user interface as one of the founding designers for Relate, a platform for small groups to host/play icebreaker activities intended to foster collaboration and facilitate meaningful discussions on community topics. • Defined visual identity and led UX/UI design for the homepage, core UX patterns, and gameplay of 3 games. • Created interactive prototypes and conducted usability tests to improve the usability of the design with appropriate iterations. ### UX Design Intern @ ArtQ Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 | Menlo Park, California • Worked as a Design Intern for ArtQ, a startup under Open Water VC. • Designed a social commerce platform to share, sell, auction and purchase artwork directly from artists. • Improved usability of the existing social platform and built the e-commerce system from 0-1 by designing the artwork details, checkout, and order history pages. • Presented design solutions through high-fidelity prototypes to the co-founders, product manager and engineers to collect design feedback and evaluate feasibility • Conducted 3 usability tests to evaluate the quality and efficiency of the design and made appropriate iterations. • Redesigned the user interface on web and built the user interface on mobile from 0-1, resulting in 2 interactive high-fidelity prototypes. ### UX Design Intern @ URx Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 • Designed a mobile app from 0-1 to encourage financial preparedness and safely transfer financial information remotely, as a sole designer to a team of 3 engineers. • Selected as the 167 students from a 650+ applicant pool to participate in an online 6-week long hackathon. • Awarded "Best Future Vision" at the end of the
