Another memorable project was a holiday project where my dad and I synced Christmas lights to music. The lights would flash and dance to the beat of the songs, creating a dynamic light show. We used a Raspberry Pi, coding, sensors, and hardware to bring our vision to life. This project demonstrated how technology could enhance everyday experiences in a fun and interactive way. Beyond coding, I’ve always been hands-on with electronics. I grew up taking apart and repairing PlayStation 4 consoles, troubleshooting issues like HDMI port repairs or fixing disc tray mechanisms. These experiences taught me the value of persistence and attention to detail when solving problems and deepened my understanding of how devices work. These early experiences—coding with Raspberry Pi, repairing electronics, and building tech-driven solutions—shaped my decision to pursue a career in web development. I realized that technology isn’t just about understanding how things work; it’s about using that knowledge to create impactful solutions. The thrill of turning ideas into functional technology is what keeps me motivated as a developer. At App Academy, I gained proficiency in JavaScript, Python, SQL, CSS, HTML5, Postgres, Node.js, and more, applying them to several full-stack React applications.
