The application was used to store and maintain items and Family Codes information for all the products available at those retailer stores. • Responsible for complete redesign of an application used to automatically synchronize email unsubscription requests from multiple sources both inside and outside of Coupons. This application processes about 17M records of email data each day. • Designed and developed a Barcode object used to create Item and Coupon barcodes of all barcode formats (UPC, EAN and GS1). This tool is a one-stop shop for both creating barcodes from component parts as well as parsing barcodes into its component parts and is being used extensively throughout Coupons.com. • Developed SQLCleaner as part of a hack day project. This tool integrates with SQL Management studio and reformats the entire SQL text according to Coupons SQL Coding standards. This tool is used by Software and Database Engineers across the company while developing database scripts. • Reformatted and refactored existing legacy code using Resharper as per the Coupons coding standards. Also developed unit tests for most of the existing code base. • Converted a collection of backend batch processes for handling UPC data input from Windows tasks to Windows Services and scheduled them using the Quartz Scheduler. Also optimized the SQL procedures used by these processes to more than double the performance. ### Software Engineer @ Ascend Clinical Jan 2007 – Jan 2011 | Redwood City, CA • Enhancement and maintenance of a web based Accounts Receivable system developed using ASP.Net, C# and SQL Server managing collections for the company of about $ 6 million per month. • Responsible for handling, storage and communication of CPT codes, ICD-9 codes, patient eligibility information and other secure medical data with external entities such as banks, facilities and clearing house using the HL7 and ANSI X12 data file format. • Authored the Technical Design Document and implemented a feature for Patient Invoicing which provides the ability to generate and print invoices for patients. This functionality allowed the company to bill patients directly and fetched about $250,000 each month. • Designed and implemented of several other features that gave the users the ability to perform tasks which were not easily accomplished earlier. • Creation of SQL reports used for accounts reconciliation during month-end reporting process. • Designed, developed and maintained a Financial Analysis Database, a data warehouse consisting financial data using several multidimensional SQL data cubes required for financial analysis • Preparation of training material for cubes, analysis server, database and overall system design and for new team members. ### Software Engineer @ Perlegen Sciences Jan 2006 – Jan 2007 | Mountain View, CA • Enhancement and maintenance of an in-house LIMS developed using C# and Oracle. • Performed Bioinformatics quality control assessment for new chip designs and primers being ordered to make sure that the design of the chips is in sync with the primers and SNPs being targeted for the study. • Implemented a major feature in the LIMS application that permits the user to mix two or more samples from the same source and yet track their data individually. This feature alone saved about 150 man-hours of work in the lab each week. • Designed, documented and implemented a feature that allows the users to perform any kind of reprocessing of the samples under any situation. • Developed other activities such as Chip Inventory Reporting System that allowed the users to track the usage of chips and wafers being used for any study.
