Transitioned to an individual contributor role to drive foundational technical infrastructure efforts powering Microsoft’s AI products at scale. Driving initiatives in Image Intelligence and Understanding for multimedia search and AI experiences, next-gen grounding APIs for M365, Bing and Copilot, and large scale multimedia data pipelines for multimodal LLM training.

January 2023 to April 2025

Joined through the acquisition of Fungible to advance Azure datacenter efficiency, reliability, and economics in the era of AI using DPU technology. Managed the team that developed the core DPU SDK that enabled partner teams across Azure to build DPU-native services.

Architected and developed various components of Fungible’s software stack, from the novel DPU optimized OS to control plane micro-services, contributing to breakthrough innovations including the world’s fastest storage cluster, DPU based computational storage, and the True-Fabric network congestion control protocol.

Led cross-functional collaboration between Hardware and Software teams to enhance performance and battery life across multiple generations of iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch by optimizing key multimedia use cases for Apple Silicon SoCs, including A10 through A14 and S3 through S5.
