Building distributed, highly scalable, secure, fault tolerant, cloud agnostic multi substrate connectivity solution as part of salesforce infrastructure team

Working in Networking and Security BU (NSBU):

• Design and develop various features related to NSX and ESXi network stack.

• Project Monterey: Implement NSX datapath in SmartNIC.

• Project Pacific: Design and developed a new upgrade architecture for NSX datapath modules to support hitless inplace upgrade on ESXi hypervisor.

• Enhance ESXi vMotion stack to support networking features like NSX Distributed firewalls, Switch security, Onprem to VMC(VMware managed cloud) migrations

• DVFilter: Responsible for the DVFilter kernel module in ESXi which provides infrastructure for the NSX distributed firewall.

• Designed and developed solution to migrate customers from NSX-V to NSX-T

Responsibilities include proof of concept, design , development, sustaining legacy system, bug fixes and mentoring new team members.

Design and development of supervised learning based spam engine.

• Worked on Solaris Service Management Facility(SMF). SMF manages system and application services in Solaris

• Revamp the notification Framework for communication between daemons in SMF.

• Extended the configuration daemon to support batch transaction. Majority of the work involved modifying the in-memory cache and making the application aware of the new transaction mechanism

• Post SMF stats in solaris sstore.
