Performance optimization for the website. Minified and compiled CSS and JS files using Grunt plugins. Reduced LESS file requests from 46 to 1 compiled and minified CSS file. Reduced 23 JS file loads on production website to 1 compiled and minified JS file. Total HTTP requests reduced form 141 to 64. LPS office was receiving multiple calls from people unable to find information on the program website. Such calls dropped by approximately 55% after the changes were made in line with information collected from card sorting experiment. Designed the experiment, recruited the participants and analyzed the results. - Removed formatting tables from the site even though the organization template involves table use. Instead created all the formatting using div tags, added alternate text for images and gave alternate labels for all links and images to improve accessibility. - Carried out HTML validation for LPS website which improved cross browser compatibility and improved accessibility score.
