# Bayian Yahya > Head of Web at TAP Location: Los Angeles, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/bayian I am a passionate person interested in my projects! I love taking on new projects and going through the entirety of the process- from designing to building to troubleshooting. I am interested in working in industry as a Software Developer or Hardware Engineer and leverage my internship and project experiences to develop new skills. ## Work Experience ### Head of Web Development @ TAP (Training All People) Jan 2023 – Present | Los Angeles County, California, United States Responsible for all things Web at TAP - Lead SOCII Process, migrated TAP to an all terraform managed cloud infrastructure and deployment from Heroku and Vercel. - Responsible for MVP to v1.0 development - Responsible for AI tutor & AI Interviewer product flows - Responsible for deployment, some live ops (alongside CTO), and SecOps. ### Full Stack Engineer @ Cents Jan 2021 – Present | Los Angeles, California, United States - Built hardware integration between 3rd party printer and POS React Native application - Built out infrastructure and client side for a new addressable market, Dry Cleaning. - Responsible for Order and Manage on Behalf of ordering functionality - Worked on our React Native POS application, React Web application for Business Managers and Owners - Responsible for converting conditional rendering to native routing for react native application. - Tech Stack: React & React Native for front end, node.js for BE, Mocha for unit testing. ### Software Engineer @ College Consulting Experts Jan 2018 – Present | Menlo Lead developer for a EdTech platform called Cinch which allows HS students to discover extracurricular activities to be more holistic applicants in the growing competitive landscape of college admissions. Students can search through a hand curated database of opportunities to find internships, summer programs, community service opportunities, research experiences, and more. Piloted with 7 HS nationwide (pre-covid) and provided over 5K student accounts. The goal of the program was to provide a pressure free academic setting devoid of grades or any rigid system such as a normal university course in order to allow students to learn new skills from differing backgrounds. The program was a 2 month long pilot (excluding planning) in which we ran 4 workshops and created an additional 2. The topics ranged from virtual reality and simple circuits to podcasting and 3D printing. We had a structure for these free summer courses; initiate a short period to introduce new content and follow up with an interactive build session or demonstration. We had on average of around ~110 sign up through our form while only being able to accept around 20. I taught the courses myself, designed the presentations, and had help with demonstration setup from my managers. We had to cut two workshops short because our Virtual Reality workshop was so well received that we had to run 4 sessions per day for 2 days straight with an expanded enrollment of 40 per session. We collected data from the pilot program and were able to present the findings to the university; as a result, the university has built a virtual reality development center in Lathrop Library as well as published an article about the work our group completed within our faculty and staff newsletter (it's focused on providing material for professors to improve their teaching methods). ### Electrical Engineering and Software Development Intern @ Autodesk Jan 2016 – Jan 2016 | San Francisco Bay Area Developed a network of connected devices from ideation to manufactured finished product while developing insights into the process of designing for IoT systems of today. The first project was a smart lamp designed by a fellow intern where it was 3D printed, sanded, painted, and finished with a grey matte coating. The scope of the project was to design and build a smart lamp connected to a virtual game engine which mirrors the state of its physical representation and vice versa. My responsibilities were to design a circuit that would handle our capacitive touch buttons, lighting, installing an ambient light sensor, and selecting a cpu and wifi board. I wrote all the code for the program as well as circuit design/prototyping/and debugging. Finally, I wrote and published an instructable on the project (excluding sections on 3D printing/modeling/and finishing) as well as created the EagleCAD schematics for the circuits. The work was primarily written in react.js. ## Education ### Master's degree in Computer Science Georgia Institute of Technology Jan 2020 – Jan 2022 ### Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Stanford University Jan 2013 – Jan 2017 ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/bayianyahya --- Source: https://flows.cv/bayian JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/bayian/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-29
