High-impact engineer bridging the gap between project management and technical leadership. Typically the most senior technical voice in architecture decisions. Responsible for designing and scoping solutions while staying involved on the ground to solve the hard problems and ensure quality of delivery. 

Led the Wellness software team from its formation in 2023 before operating more cross-functionally beginning in late 2024. 

Technical initiatives I led include:
- A full rebuild for a custom payroll application for transportation personnel, including a complex rule framework for processing logistics and a user interface for payroll managers.
- A new-build online payment portal for patient invoicing, integrated with in-house point-of-sale software. 
- Deep optimization for resource-constrained data systems, involving development of custom load graphs and trigger-based pseudo-materialization of data views.
- Development of new infrastructure patterns for better production support and reduced organizational barriers to delivery. 
- Regular training of four engineers new to the stack and in some cases tech in general

Developed applications handling sensitive HIPAA data and integrated PCI-compliant components.

Designed and developed software as a consultant for various applications, using various stacks. Examples include:
- optimization of a large-scale recommender system to connect homebuyers and sellers to agents
- workflow automation for tasks processed through client's call center

- a framework for rigorous randomized testing of API endpoints

### Founder @ Giddens Sports Analysis

(Freelance, part-time outside of full time work) Invented and managed a novel analysis algorithm for predicting outcomes of sporting events, which benchmarked among industry leaders for American football, such as ESPN's FPI. Developed software to automate data collection, processing, and online publication.

Headed software initiatives for interdisciplinary research projects as PEC's lead software engineer. Designed solution architecture and led development efforts. Projects included an evolutionary symbolic regression solver, an automation framework for structural finite element analysis, and various automation systems for modeling and simulation research.

Acted as program manager for Sysflo fluid dynamics software. 
* Led modernization effort including redesign and translation of archaic codebase.
