I co-led the local Women Who Build affinity group which formally included organizing and hosting ~10 meetups a year. More informally I mentored, met, and encouraged new engineers and interns, as well as spoke to and organized with other leaders in the DEI space.

I was Diversity Champion for my location, which meant attending and keeping track of all affinity space activities and events, communicating with upper level leadership about any issues in our location, and occasionally helping organize activities and events.
Worked on teams to support clients in various industries to provide the software their businesses needed to succeed. Some examples of work done:

Worked side-by-side with client developers to teach best practice Agile development in an AWS serverless environment.
•
Developed several large components of a complex, fully serverless AWS application in a Continuous Delivery environment. This included writing test cases on many levels of complexity to ensure minimal downtime in the production environment.

Documented and taught client developers how to use and extend the code we wrote, as well as helping with debugging and SRE in the early handoff stages
Maintained an existing AngularJS web app that allowed chefs to create and edit recipes for the mobile app, including using root cause analysis to address a serious performance issue, improving page load time from minutes down to seconds. Expanded that app to include new features to allow for expansion into oven recipes and more refined measuring systems.

Designed and implemented services and APIs using AWS cloud computing resources, for a variety of applications including translation and user data storage.

Advocated for and maintained documentation for new projects and legacy systems to improve future onboarding and communication.

Migrated legacy systems over to be encrypted-at-rest in compliance with GDPR as part of the company-wide internationalization project.
