• Developed high speed energy efficient embedded firmware for various Qualcomm modem chipsets.

• Designed efficient firmware solutions for hardware engines and interfaces for various interdependent hardware components and blocks whilst adhering to strict hardware timing designs.

• Handled firmware code in interfacing several hardware modules and their interdependencies, simulation/emulation code for mimicking actual modem behavior and ‘playback’ code for thorough verification of input test-vectors.

• Involved in silicon bring-up of modems and did thorough validation, testing and integration of scenario vectors accommodating multiple carriers, bandwidths and layers.

• Resolved mismatches in DMA comparisons, test vector validation and verification of accurate data in LTE memory bank.

• Analyzed and resolved issues on multiple LTE modems: firmware simulation, vector mismatches, waveform timeline issues and log packet updates.

• Worked with the 4G modem firmware team on end-to-end timeline evaluation for the “demback” part of Qualcomm Himalaya modem’s downlink and obtained a detailed understanding of the 4G physical layer, architecture of the 4G modem, and the flow of functionality from a systems’ perspective.

• Developed the post-parsing Perl script to recreate systems plot of DEMAP and DEMBACK downlink blocks using timing accurate models and debug trace signals.

• Compared system simulator v/s timing accurate model vs on-chip behavior for 3 specific real-time scenarios and also proposed enhancements to system simulator and the timing model.
