Within a few months user-reported spam was dramatically reduced [1]. Designed infrastructure and co-championed product changes for Twitter's in-house URL shortener (t.co) [2] [3]. This was originally to help combat malware and phishing, but was also a major asset for Twitter's analytics revenue stream. t.co quickly became one of the most high-traffic URL shorteners in the world. Conceived the Aurora/Mesos project, built the team, evangelized its use. Aurora now orchestrates a majority of machines at Twitter and is used by most engineers at the company to manage everything from experiments to site-critical production services. Pushed for releasing Aurora into the Apache Software Foundation. Aurora is now a top-level Apache project [4] and is being successfully used by other companies. In 2015, Twitter acquired its first avid Aurora user, TellApart [5], reducing M&A integration overhead.
