Pathsense provides this service as a SDK for android and iOS app developers. ### Distinguished Engineer @ Aruba Networks Jan 2012 – Jan 2014 | Sunnyvale, CA Designed and built the only known working solution for delivering true quality multicast media experiences over high-density Wi-Fi deployments in arenas, stadiums, and other large public venues. This solution includes: o Modified transmission algorithms for 802.11 (Wi-Fi) access points and controllers, o An embedded media server that dynamically modifies streams for resiliency and redundancy based on feedback from network clients, and o A client-side SDK, supporting iOS, Android, Windows, Mac OS X and Linux devices, that provides media stream decode, repair and rendering. Designed a modular OS for highly parallel network processors which allows the creation of a dynamically programmable data path pipeline. ### Director of Engineering (Steelbox) @ Adtech Jan 2009 – Jan 2012 At Adtech I was responsible for building and leading a new engineering team for the Steelbox technology and product line. I instituted a test-driven development methodology and engineering process rooted in Agile that allowed the team to surpass all expectations in quality and time to market. Throughout my tenure I remained a hands-on engineer. ### CTO/Founder @ SteelBox Networks Jan 2003 – Jan 2009 In this role I acted as the Chief Engineer and company expert on digital video and audio, networking, operating systems, and file systems. I served as the company’s technical representative to customers and partners and was thus intimately involved in the establishment and management of international strategic business relationships. This work involved third-party engineering efforts merged with Steelbox development that culminated in the successful production of highly competitive solutions. In addition, I was responsible for management of all the company’s internal and external IT resources. ### Lead Architect Pharsalia @ Nortel Networks/Alteon Websystems Jan 2001 – Jan 2002 I was responsible for engineering partnerships, overall product design and build. This included responsibility for new product idea generation, along with marketability, viability and cost assessments. I oversaw the technical aspects of a partnership between Novell Networks’ Volera team and in-house development that resulted in the on-time and on-budget delivery of the Alteon Websystems Content Delivery Network product line. ### Founder @ Pharsalia Technologies Jan 2000 – Jan 2001 I was the Chief Engineer responsible for directing the invention, design and build of the company’s product line. As a founder, my role covered all aspects of executive management including development and tracking of overall business, product development, and staffing plans. My responsibilities also included direction of the company’s internal IT department. As one of the founders I built a company of four people into a full team of over thirty by recruiting, and corralling top-notch engineering talent into an integrated and focused solutions team. This team exceeded all of its development goals and milestones prompting the early acquisition of the company by Alteon Websystems. Alteon Websystems acquired Pharsalia Technologies for $221 million. During this tenure I was an inventor of three patented methods and apparatuses. ### Software Engineer @ Cisco Jan 1996 – Jan 2000 I served as the research and development group expert on TCP/IP, layer 2 and application protocols. highlights include the key development and design roles on: o The Cisco PIX Firewall – the industry leading firewall appliance.
