I do my utmost to add as much value as I can to every project I'm on. I'm often the one my teammates turn to when no one else wants to do the tough stuff: I have set up dev environments and testing, I have refactored and optimized wide swaths of problematic code, and I'll always volunteer to build tricky features.

Even before I was a software engineer I pushed myself and my team to be the best. I produced online games for English-speaking markets and my teams always out performed our sales and customer service expectations. 

I also have an incorrigible sense of humor and am not afraid to use it.

### Software Engineer @ PowWow Mobile

At PowWow Mobile we developed the SmartUX platform for transforming web apps into mobile apps. I built major features for the platform as well as for customer apps such as Delta Nomad (see link).

I developed a Node.js library to parse and modify webpage content and cookies so SmartUX could display custom content on mobile devices.

I worked with a teammate to design and develop the foundation of a Node.js framework that would greatly expand the capabilities of the platform.

I did a variety of AngularJS UX work, including the interactive seat map used by Delta agents as part of Nomad.

I built multiple full stack features with robust AngularJS and Node functionality, including key parts of PowWow's upcoming major release.

I also helped out with odds and ends wherever I could, including diagnosing a critical memory bug in our Docker/Node environment, exploring new technologies for our tech stack, and assisting our customer success team with any esoteric requests.

### Software Engineering Intern/Teaching Assistant @ Sonoma County Library

Taught Java programming to middle school students by modding Minecraft. 

I taught object oriented programming concepts by creating items and recipes, and demonstrated inheritance by making varieties of blocks and new weapons. 
I also taught other technical skills related to programming by introducing students to Eclipse and how to use it, GIMP for making textures, and 7zip for accessing the various Minecraft files. 
The program included approximately 60 middle school students - most of whom had zero prior programming experience - across three classes over the summer.

I took over a game, 9 Dragons, that was in the midst of a steep decline. I reversed the game's trajectory and kept its revenue stable. The game remained profitable and continued to achieve sales goals until I left.

I led a small (and awesome!) team of Game Masters, directed sales and events, communicated with the game's developers in South Korea, spearheaded localization, and acted as community liaison with the players.

I worked my way up from Community Manager to a leadership role. I planned sales and events for Rappelz, a very successful MMORPG. I led the launch of multiple expansions for the game, including localization and website redesigns. I also trained new team members and played an important communication role between the developers and the players throughout my time on the team.
