Chosen out of the 3500+ students in the DFA network to pilot the position at the Lab. - Designed and engineered a Jekyll-based digital design guide for a cohort of 15 novice designers from the Veterans Experience Office across the country, used in 3 different cities on a variety of design projects. - Ensured code and design was compliant with United States Web Design System guidelines for accessibility, responsiveness, and style. - Gathered and integrated feedback from users and other designers into the final design. - Conducted and collected 15 hours of user interviews about the effectiveness of the Lab’s offerings, synthesizing findings to suggest changes for the Lab’s project and educational offerings. - Created and delivered 5 hours of educational content for the Lab’s workshop offerings for federal agencies including the Navy, the US Agency for International Development, and Veterans Affairs. ### Washington University Design for America -- Co Director of New Member Education @ Design for America Jan 2018 – Jan 2019 | St. Louis - Served as the chapter’s New Member Educator, designing weekly educational materials and exercises on the Design for America design process for 35 new members. - Walked the teams through the design process under a project with LaunchCode, a 501(c) nonprofit dedicated to bridging the technological divide in cities across the country. -Provided mentorship and feedback to 7 new member teams, 40 new members total, overseeing the teams during user interviews, debriefing sessions, research, etc. Tech Together: Tech Lead - Led a design team on the creation of a project focusing on technological empowerment for formerly incarcerated citizens.
