Team: Tax Platform

Led the design and development of Airbnb’s next-gen Invoice Document Platform.

Led the requirement clarification and scoping of Auto Business Invoicing Tax Platform support across three teams.

Developed in the Pricing service, the Tax Quotation service, and the Tax ID service to enable Auto Business Invoicing.

Drove and launched the Taiwan e-invoicing project. Integrated the Tax Invoice service with a third-party vendor.

Collaborated with engineers across the Payments org and the China org to launch the China Fapiao invoicing project.

Developed various offline pipelines: User Signal pipeline, Taxpayer Eligibility pipeline, Notification Candidate pipeline.

Designed and built an extensible third-party vendor integration library used by multiple Airbnb online services.

Developed Search Engine Optimization content support in search services.

Integrated with the Airbnb Knowledge Graph and prototyped neighborhood groupings in a city for search.

Designed a URL system to make URLs more human readable and search engine crawler friendly.

Team: Content Services

Built a scalable performance/load testing web service from a local testing tool

Used ZooKeeper and Redis to manage multiple service instances

Allowed Content Services team to generate heavy load simulations against the team’s web services

on demand, scheduled, and in CI/CD

Hulu Hackathon: worked in a team of three and prototyped a Hulu Chrome notification app to

remind users of expiring videos in an effort to drive site user interaction
