I’m a full stack software engineer, pragmatic perfectionist, and artist. Programming has been a great creative outlet for me and is something I genuinely enjoy. I’ve tried a variety of programming languages but am most proficient with TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Apollo, Node.js, HTML5, and CSS.

The top three things that have helped me be successful as a self-taught software engineer are:

• Maintaining unmitigated discipline and focus on accomplishing goals.
• Seeking mentorship and listening to advice.
• Inoculating myself to uncertainty and embracing challenges.

I started programming as a result of a growing interest in mathematics coming from a background in philosophy, music, and art. Seeing the impact computer science has had on physics, visual artistry, and the recording arts, I’ve become increasingly interested in software engineering as a way to solve problems and a tool for creative expression.

Outside of work I'm spending time outdoors with my wonderful family of four.
