Hi, I'm Briana Torres, a first-gen Computer Science and Design student at Northeastern University graduating in April of 2026. 

As a proud Latina of Ecuadorian and Nicaraguan descent, I have a personal mission to build a more inclusive tech industry and to empower Latina women within the Computer Science field. This past summer I interned at Apple with the Video Apps Automation team in Cupertino, and lead a student team to create the first generative AI initiatives for the Massachusetts State Government through my co-op at The Burnes Center for Social Change in partnership with MassHealth. 

On campus, I served on the e-board for both SHPE and ColorStack for 3 semesters, and worked as a Software Engineer at Generate, a student-run product development studio. In the fall, I completed Northeastern’s most rigorous CS course, Software Development with Matthias Fellison, earning an A, a personal milestone.
