I am a backend Software Engineer specializing in messaging at Meta. My passion is building
elegant APIs and frameworks designed to unlock and empower products in an object oriented system.
I worked in the messaging infrastructure storage team to rearchitect the process by which an asynchronous job runner scans user accounts by developing a framework for creating and tracking account indicators. I utilized the indicators to decrease number of accounts processed when cleaning up user-deleted data by over 99% in three separate areas. During the internship, I also developed mitigations and countermeasures for possible privacy violations and applied better logging techniques to detect problems.
I develop tasks for neuroscience and psychology studies. This primarily includes studies hosted on Amazon Mechanical Turk, for which I am maintaining a pipeline for lab members to use to create and host studies on the service. My work involves an understanding of maintaining an Apache web server on a Linux operating system, as well as HTML/CSS/JS web development.
Under the guidance of researchers at Lenovo, I developed machine learning algorithms to diagnose data center performance issues. I also researched how to use the results of Hound to reschedule jobs to improve performance in real time. This work involved using Apache Spark in Python and an understanding of distributed systems.
