With constant hands-on projects in agile environments I work together with multi-disciplinary teams on creating applications running on Outsytems. I am also an avid user and creator of robust design systems that will help us speed up the creation of design prototypes and going to development faster and easier than ever.
With the businesses, I build value by running several joint UX exercises such as Empathy Mapping, Business Analysis, Competitor Analysis, Card Sorting for IA, Site Mapping and more to prepare for a Data-Driven UI that kicks-off from sketches and wireframes building up to a pixel-perfect UI that your users love and that is profitable for you and your company.

In my role as the Senior Product Designer leading the product design aspects for a Credit Union' Cards Management Team for Retail and Business users, I took charge of a comprehensive project that extended to Employer users. Responsible for the end-to-end product design process, my duties ranged from strategizing and researching to testing, prototyping, and supporting development. My focus extended beyond the immediate tasks, encompassing the preparation for a future consumer-facing aspect of the application.
A significant achievement was the revitalization of the old Card Management Retail application, providing it with a visual and UX facelift. This overhaul aimed to align it with the Business application, a critical step achieved through meticulous competitive analysis and feature gap assessments. By implementing industry standards and intuitive design principles, we empowered all stakeholders, from branch staff to senior account managers users to redirect their focus from navigating legacy systems to more impactful responsibilities such as growing their portfolio of retail and business credit card customers.
To ensure scalability and consistency, I spearheaded the implementation of a robust design system across multiple apps, advocating for the use of reusable components. This strategic move not only facilitated faster and leaner development but also allowed high-end UI designs to be executed at the same cost as lower-quality alternatives. The outcome was a swift production timeline, addressing real business problems inherent in Credit Card Management apps.
Through constant communication, discussion, and mutual education on the potential of UX design, the client was left with a significantly more mature approach to product design. The project not only met immediate goals, increasing user satisfaction and subsequently customer satisfaction but also laid the foundation for a sustained and evolving user-centric design philosophy within the organization.
In my role as the Senior Product Designer, I took charge of a transformative project focused on a Maritime Vessel Tracking tool. The objective was to understand the current state of the company's vessels and voyages, necessitating extensive user research to uncover opportunities for enhancement.
The research revealed a golden opportunity to revamp the 20-year-old legacy version of the app, introducing cutting-edge UX guidelines. This revitalization addressed usability bottlenecks by incorporating updated components like user-friendly file uploading tools, sortable tables, and an interactive map for a comprehensive fleet overview. Deep-diving capabilities into container cargo status, financials, and the integration of tools to track and improve Environmental Performance were additional features inspired by user concerns and industry trends.
The project not only showcased the company's commitment to staying at the forefront of their industry but also aligned with global environmental goals. By addressing upcoming fees related to Environmental Performance, the app provided users with tools to track and enhance their vessels' environmental impact, potentially saving millions in fines. Simultaneously, we tackled the issue of customer support overload by making crucial functionalities easily accessible within the app, significantly reducing manual report requests and giving the support team more time for more strategic tasks.
This project stands as a testament to the company's dedication to innovation, efficiency, and environmental responsibility, positioning them as a state-of-the-art competitor in the maritime industry. The successful implementation sets the stage for continued success, especially with the advent of 2024 and the introduction of fees related to environmental performance.

In a pivotal role as the Product Design Manager, I spearheaded the transformation of a legacy certificate management system for a leading US Insurance Company. Collaborating closely with a Junior Product Designer, our mission was to align the system with the evolving business needs and deliver a user-centric solution.
Analysing initial user feedback revealed that accessibility and a robust search mechanism were paramount to user satisfaction. Users valued a seamless experience that not only facilitated quick access but also provided relevant details instantly within a person's profile. To ensure a consistent and efficient design approach, we introduced a comprehensive product style guide and a library of reusable components, expediting the development process.
Under my leadership, the design team crafted a state-of-the-art product that significantly enhanced user task performance and operational efficiency. A notable feature included in the project addressed the need for cross-accessible information throughout the user journey. Custom-tailored modality options were implemented, allowing users to access crucial information from other files or documents at key points without losing context.
Despite challenges related to loading times, our team successfully mitigated user frustration by introducing various loading and placeholder states. This approach not only resolved technical challenges but also contributed to an overall positive user experience. The transformed certificate management system stands as a testament to our commitment to user-centric design and efficient task execution for the insurance company.
