Unblocked security requirements for a $1B deal with Microsoft. Rewrote migration scripts from the ground up to support migrating access-control lists with ~200k members safely and automatically to modern systems. - Migrated core security systems to next-gen authorization protocols at scale with 0 downtime. - Performed various leadership activities, acting as a force-multiplier for the team. - Mentored three new hires over 6 months. Assisted them with a VP-level project saving 60+ developer-hours per month. - Led all NYC-based team activities. - Performed multiple interviews after rigorous calibration training. - Trusted as a senior code review bar raiser. ### Software Development Engineer @ Amazon Web Services (AWS) Jan 2022 – Jan 2024 | New York, New York, United States - Designed a new system from the ground up for fine-grained, automated controls for temporary access management, raising the security bar for teams across Amazon to apply the principle of least privilege. - Assisted both on a project with VP-level importance saving 60+ developer-hours per month. Led all NYC-based team activities. - Migrated internal enterprise 50 customers from our V1 APIs to the V2 APIs, unblocking deprecation of V1 APIs, significantly reducing code/test overhead, and raising the security bar by adding DDOS prevention measures. - Performed comprehensive load testing of every point in our system architecture, resulting in more than 600 different metrics to ensure that our systems would not fail. Devised complex mechanisms for automating this process. Report was reviewed by management and senior SDEs, unblocking migrations of ~13k groups from our to-be-deprecated access-management system to its replacement.
