I'm a software engineer fascinated by the challenges of video delivery at scale. I've been known to:

 * Provide near real time insights of multi-CDN live video workflows without sampling with under 1m of latency at SuperBowl scale (twice!)
 * Mentor teammates in TDD, quick iterations, and leveraging abstractions to DRY contributions
 * Enable developers to self-service create dev environments from the same infrastructure-as-code as production for each feature branch for high confidence rollouts
 * ensure my employer fulfilled a million dollar contract by personally integrating SSL into a customer facing project on a deadline
 * help thousands of developers figure out the magic configurations to get S3, CloudFront, and SSL working together through my blog
 * rollout AWS CloudFront on live web sites and applications with (perhaps) seconds of downtime

* Reduced video upload quality rejection time from 1hr to 1m by creating http api around ffprobe
 * Reduced average video transcoding time from 2hrs to 20min by building an in-house transcoding pipeline

 * Worked with SRE team to reduce the number of engineers who could all production video assets from ALL to 0

I build on top of Redux and React using the ES6 flavor of JavaScript; and I contribute to the internal microservices by building out shared metrics libraries, increasing fault tolerance through carefully crafted retry logic, and pioneering a novel approach to monitoring microservices based on the consumer.

 * I contributed the Favorites page (through which customers can favorite products and view their favorites) and the modeling of favorites in mongodb
 * I optimized the internal homebrew package to decrease bash initialization time by 50% each time any developer opens a new terminal tab
