Gradient AI was founded in order to address the need for state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions designed specifically for the insurance industry. Our solutions include software and models utilized by many of the world’s most recognized Insurance Carriers, MGAs, TPAs, Pools, PEOs and more. At Gradient we focus exclusively on delivering measurable results in insurance underwriting and claims operations.

As the second engineer to join the algorithms team at Ivani, played an integral role in building up the Network Presence Sensing codebase by developing algorithms and data visualization tools in Python. Also helped institute a code workflow for the team involving feature branches in Git and testing and code reviews before features are merged to a stable branch. In the first month, designed and implemented an algorithm that dramatically reduced the amount of engineer time needed to set up the Network Presence Sensing system in a new space.

Led the continued development of the product invented during my senior capstone project, which was sponsored by Ivani. Responsibilities included defining product requirements, implementing front-end and back-end features, and providing insight into product vision and target markets to the external partner responsible for marketing and sale of the product.

Developed an automated regression analysis tool for use by the QA department consisting of a web application with an AJAX front-end and an Apache Tomcat back-end. Successfully completed the intended internship project ahead of schedule and spent the following weeks building upon the project by implementing additional features such as integration with the existing database of known bugs.
