Designer Brands Inc. is a publicly traded (~ US $3 billion-revenue) North American footwear company that designs, produces, and retails through its DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse and The Shoe Company banners. 

Drove implementation of a cloud-native product information domain as part of a multi-year migration from legacy Oracle ATG.

Saved $10s of thousands in monthly recurring costs by controlling product ingestion.

Built bi-directional data synchronization systems between legacy data stores and new product domain to enable phased migration of critical functions.

Built and scaled real-time product event pipelines handling thousands of updates per second across evolving PIM interfaces while ensuring accurate price, inventory, activation, and categorization data.

Became the domain expert for product information domain, mentoring engineers and partnering with integrations, frontend, and business teams to ensure reliable downstream consumption of product data.

Owned service reliability during peak retail periods where where downtime risks multi-million-dollar losses.

Delivered internal tools, automation, and analytics that reduced recurring operational load and enabled business teams to self-diagnose product data issues.

Canary deployment is a deployment strategy that gradually routes traffic from an existing version of an application to a new “canary” version of that application

Automated deployment and teardown of canary infrastructure by extending AWS CDK

Configured traffic routing between production and canary using AWS SDK

Developed capability to fetch configurations for existing AWS resources

Created optimized Docker containers for deployment and configuration of monitoring tools

Created demo project that helps users learn Aria
