Both of my solutions were subsequently deployed to Proterra’s fleet of electric buses. For the first project, I designed a dynamic ride-height system for Proterra’s buses to address prior NVH concerns. Following the analysis of fleet data, I developed an energy-efficient solution that eradicated the NVH issues, met bus suspension requirements, and adhered to bus procurement guidelines. For the second project, I redesigned torque curves and shift maps to improve the driver feel and energy efficiency of Proterra’s buses. After gathering requirements, I went through an iterative process of design, testing, and analysis to come up with a final solution.
