I have experience in branding and logo design, web design and development, usability design, and marketing. 

My formal education is in Graphic Design, and from there, curiosity, love of technology, and a desire to know how things work has led me into web development. I have taught myself HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and am now working on mastering back-end technologies like Ruby on Rails and Node.js. I have an equal passion for clean design and clean code, and consider myself an eternal student, always looking for a better way to do things so that I can continue to learn and grow. 

Here are some specifics about roles I have held and challenges I have met:

At SurgeryLink, I served as a User Interface Consultant and Front-End Web Developer. I helped design a proprietary web app for the company, communicating with the founders and the developers to ensure that the final product was functional and easy to use. I worked on the design and the development of the front-end marketing site to advertise the application to potential customers. I also helped with overall coordination and organization of the project, ensuring that the team was able to make decisions and move forward efficiently.

At Community Waste Disposal, I designed and produced various sales materials, working closely with sales staff. With the marketing team and the company president, I helped develop corporate marketing strategy, including an instrumental role in planning a launch event to publicize CWD’s new Compressed Natural Gas waste trucks.
