In 2021, the service was made available state-wide, to all 87 counties and 11 federally recognized tribal nations. ### Product Designer @ Code for America Jan 2019 – Jan 2021 | San Francisco Bay Area Code for America uses the principles and practices of the digital age to improve how government serves the American public, and how the public improves government. ### Research Assistant, School of Design @ Carnegie Mellon University Jan 2017 – Jan 2019 | Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania While a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon School of Design, I supported professor Molly Steenson and marketing manager Joe Lyons in research, design, and content creation. ### UX Design Intern | Maven @ General Motors Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 | Greater Detroit Area As UX Design Intern at Maven, I supported the company's launch of peer-to-peer car sharing, as well as the growth of Maven services for gig drivers, like Uber and Lyft. For Maven Peer, I designed a research protocol, conducted interviews, conducted site visits, and set up usability testing for a new in-vehicle feature for Maven Peer drivers, which resulting in 3 early design changes. I presented my research findings to the executive team. For Maven Gig, I developed wireframes, user journeys, and interactive prototypes for the Check-in Experience. I collaborated across departments to integrate the interface into Maven’s admin tool. Additionally, I developed visual designs for driver instructional materials, which including the content and iconography for in-vehicle stickers and mobile notifications. ### Account Supervisor @ Antenna Jan 2016 – Jan 2017 | San Francisco Bay Area Antenna is a full-service strategic communications firm specializing in emerging energy technology. I also redesigned, managed and edited Antenna's company newsletter. ### Early Vote Field Organizer @ Obama for America Jan 2012 – Jan 2012 | Arapahoe County, Aurora, CO Organizing for America (OFA) is a community organizing project of the Democratic National Committee. Recognized as the most successful campaign team in history, OFA 2012 aimed to re-elect President Obama by mobilizing supporters through strategic grassroots campaigning. As an Early Vote Field Organizer in Arapahoe County, I recruited, trained and organized more than 50 volunteers. I played a pivotal role in facilitating the largest voter registration drive in Colorado history, as well as successfully converting Colorado's most important swing county into a Democratic county by 6 points. ### Special Events Intern @ Clean Energy Durham Jan 2011 – Jan 2011 | Durham, NC Clean Energy Durham (CED) is a non-profit organization in Downtown Durham that aims to have a hand in lowering our national greenhouse gas emissions. CED provides local volunteers and neighbors with educational tools, workshops on energy saving, and efficient ways to track and share energy use. As a full-time summer intern, I assisted planning and community outreach for the annual fundraiser, acquiring 38 local sponsors to contribute to the event. I created, edited and revised media documents including press releases and blog posts. In addition, I aided database entry for volunteers and applicants. ### Beyond Coal Campaign Visibility Coordinator @ Sierra Club Jan 2009 – Jan 2010 | Blacksburg, VA Campuses Beyond Coal Campaign is a joint effort between the Sierra Student Coalition and Sierra Club to move university campuses off of coal-powered energy to 100% clean energy solutions by mobilizing grassroots activists in the local community. Virginia Tech's campus is located in the Appalachian Mountains, where the battle for coal independence is at the heart of regional economic controversy.
