Software engineering is my purpose in life. I came to this world to change lives and my career gives me the opportunity to do that everyday. I have an innate passion for contributing to this world and making it better for the generations that will come after us. 

Software engineering has given me the ability to materialize a simple idea into a real-life product. My most recent project: Keypress is an application inspired by Typing Club. Its intention is to teach both children and adults alike to touch type and improve their typing speed and accuracy which is a crucial skill developers need to succeed in our industry.

With the help of JavaScript, and many other tools in my tech stack (React, Redux, Ruby on Rails, SQL, jQuery, AJAX, Git, HTML, CSS...), I continue to build applications that make a positive impact and change people's lives. 

When I'm not coding, I enjoy exploring new hiking trails, learning about the cosmos, and eating various kinds of delicious arepas.

· Spearheaded design and development of full stack web application for internal use.
· Designed system which would run weekly to manage user permissions for leveraging AWS tools such as S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS.
· Played an instrumental role in the development of microservice-based customer-facing application with ~250,000 monthly active users (MAU).

· Restructured authentication scheme which reduced the application's average latency from 7,850ms to 350ms
