# Carol Rossi > Helping you breathe -- and live -- better Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/carolrossi With more than three decades of yoga practice and a decade of dance training, I teach yoga-based movement rooted in deep experience and study of yoga philosophy, contemplative practices, and spiritual direction. I taught yoga to college students for 13 years from the mid-90s through the 2000s. My approach now, though, has nothing to do with giving lectures or perfecting poses. My focus is on helping you meet the demands of life with greater resilience by expanding the breath and moving through poses that range from simple to more complex. We all face challenges, and the practice becomes a way to build resilience by learning to stay present, steady, and connected. When we work together, you can expect a breath-centered practice that’s accessible to everyone, whether you’ve practiced for years or are new to movement — a deeply immersive experience without the yoga theatrics like pretzel poses or heated rooms. What recent students are saying: "The class was a truly grounding experience, and I appreciated the focus on breath work." "By the end of class, I was almost feeling blissful and at peace." We can work together one-on-one, or through special events and group classes. I teach yoga through conferences and retreats hosted by organizations like the Center for Action and Contemplation.
