My mission as a professional is to make a positive impact on the world through accessible and practical technical applications. What excites me about technology is the rapid growth in the field and the potential to contribute to people’s everyday lives. I believe that many pertinent issues in today’s society can be solved by empathy, understanding and innovative solutions. 

My educational background of a Bachelors of Computer Science from UCLA and current pursuit of a Masters of Computer Science at Columbia University gives me the foundation to address a wide breadth of technical problems. In my pursuit of these degrees I have gained both theoretical and technical experience that lends directly to real world applications. My experience in industry as an intern at a number of different companies in the past few years has allowed me to explore different roles and I dabbled in data science and statistical analysis at Falkonry, explored test automation at Visa, machine learning at Sparta Science and fullstack mobile engineering at Uber. subjects within software engineering that have all made me a better developer. 

I believe my roles in various clubs and organizations and my experiences as a lifelong athlete, have given me the communication and leadership experience to be a valuable asset in the workplace. As president of the UCLA Women’s Club Volleyball team and Philanthropy Chair of the UCLA Club Sports Executive Council, I gained experience leading a large organization and learned the importance of teamwork.

As a software engineer intern I refactored the dispatching experience for Uber Pool to use a shared platform in sync with other teams. I made full stack mobile changes to implement the feature for Android (Java), iOS (Swift) and the backend (Golang). I completed this feature end-to-end from drafting the proposal, to creating unit tests, to creating a rollout plan. This migration to another platform reduced the need for 5,000+ lines of redundant code and opened new opportunities for the experience in the future.

### Software Engineer Intern @ Sparta Science

I built a Python-based edge application for executing human movement assessment tests on a force plate system. The software guides a user through tests while collecting time series data and then extracts key metrics. I developed machine learning models for activity classification and movement metric regression in Python. I built a MacOS application in Swift to demonstrate porting Python-based movement health models to CoreML and performed test-retest reliability analysis on movement health metrics using ICC.

I wrote a Java-based framework to automate testing of iOS mobile device applications. I analyzed and tested several design variations in order to improve performance. I implemented concurrent testing for multiple iOS device variations and integrated the iOS application test framework into the team’s broader testing and continuous integration infrastructure. The addition of concurrent testing increased the test suite efficiency by 200%.
