Worked on features for the Scratch Compass application (compass.scratch.fi) which are used by lenders to manage loan portfolios. Developed a page for lenders to view and download reports in a React application, using a Ruby backend. Implemented automated deployment for Scratch web applications using shell scripts, Jenkins and AWS S3. Set up AWS Lambda functions for web applications. Implemented an internal tool using typescript for debugging API handlers. Also worked on some smaller things: adding analytics (firebase), and updating codebase to be standardized (configuring and fixing eslint for a 3 app monorepo). ### Software Engineer @ YouTube Jan 2016 – Jan 2021 | Mountain View, CA Worked as a developer for YouTube TV (tv.youtube.com). Contributed to the initial launch of the web client and the initial launch of the tv client. Worked as the team lead engineer of the web client team. Developed a Polymer driven application for subscribed users, a server side soy template based app for onboarding new users, and developed features in the YouTube backend using python and c++. Conducted a study using a focus group of 15 varying leveled computer science students and analyzed their google searches related to programming bugs. Analyzed Windows and Linux security log and data analysis to detect attackers and attack methods. Created XSS attacks using SQL injection. Analyzed packets with wireshark: Distinguishing clients and server external and internal ip addresses and operating systems, viewing usernames, passwords, and files of ftp packets, detecting protocol versions, daemon versions, and session cookies of SSH packets. Manipulated web packet header file fields with burpsuite and the tamper data firefox add on. Cracked Linux password hashes using the RockYou 500000 word dictionary with hashcat, and john the ripper. ### Research Assistant, Network Security Lab @ University of North Texas Jan 2014 – Jan 2014 | Denton, TX Developed and tested a mobile application that uses sensors to compute vital signs and provide real-time feedback on CPR execution. Re-wrote a java implementation of the vital sign application into an object oriented C format targeted to Android and iOS platforms. Used octave scripting to determine if patterns in raw data correlate to vital signs measurements.
