Chartered the Cloud Resource Orchestration and Scheduling Platform.
• Designed a distributed, shared-state, lock-free, concurrent scheduling platform that supports global-scale resource orchestration and scheduling (up to 10K data centers+edge sites).
• Innovated a new partition scheme to achieve high global scalability and low scheduling interference
• Innovated a multi-dimensional optimization-based scheduling algorithm
• Led a team to develop and deliver the new Kubernetes-like distributed VM/Container concurrent scheduling platform
Chartered the Cloud Serverless Platform
• Set the Serverless technology direction and product development roadmap.
• Led a team of architects and engineers to design/develop a high-performing and scalable Serverless Platform, successfully delivered the Platform into Huawei’s Public Cloud.
• Co-authored the CNCF serverless white paper and CloudEvents specification.
• Led the Serverless Workflow Specification writing in the CNCF community.
Chartered the Cloud Network Service Project
• Led a team of engineers to deliver the Service Chaining technology into Huawei’s Private Cloud.
• Won the Project Lead position in the OpenStack community and led the open source team consisting of architects and engineers to deliver three official OpenStack service chaining releases.
• Co-authored the IETF Network Service Header Standard Specification.
Chartered the Cloud Networking Project
• Analyzed industry trends on SDN, NFV, and network virtualization technologies. Provided insight/vision on next generation Cloud Data Center architecture and technology to executives.
• Led the team to successfully deliver the VXLAN network virtualization architecture, software design, and coding.
