Collaborated with Amazon engineers as 1 of 8 global teams competing in the Alexa Prize conversational AI challenge.
Designed and executed branding, storytelling, and outreach to communicate the team’s AI research.
Gave users and testers visibility into early advances in conversational AI, bridging technical work and public adoption.
“EVE is a team of researchers from the BYU Perception, Control, and Cognition Laboratory that has been accepted to the Amazon Alexa Prize Challenge 2018. EVE is 1 of 8 teams globally competing to advance conversational AI and build a fully functioning socialbot that you can hold a real conversation with.”
Because of my diverse knowledge of computer science, business, and graphic design, I was able to accurately and creatively capture the team’s journey throughout their pursuit of the 2018 Alexa Prize and share this experience with our community and audiences. I created content (video, images, tweets, posts and blogs) for all of our team social media accounts; developed new social media campaigns from the ground up; monitored social channels for trending news, ideas and memes, then capitalized on those trends through our social media accounts; promoted interest in the team, upcoming opportunities to support, Beta testing, and other related opportunities; and I created awareness and engagement across campus.
