• Led a full-stack team of 4 engineers to build a gamified first payment journey as an A/B testing experiment using React.js, Next.js, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Jsonnet, YAML, ArgoCD. Increased 14-day first payment creation by 39%.

• Built a machine learning prediction API for business categories forecasting, simplified user onboarding. Trained the ML model with Google Vertex AI.

• Designed an ETL to transfer Optimizely experiments data to BigQuery data warehouse. Improved scalability by favouring cloud solutions and decoupling processing steps. Mitigated operational risks by enhancing logging, error handling and spreading knowledge across multiple product teams.

In-product Billing

• Monetised Success+ globally, a new product for intelligent payment retry. Scoped and led the development across 2 product teams.

• Collaborated with legal team to enhance compliance requirements and refine Terms & Conditions (T&Cs).

• Designed database schema for discounts and built the discount feature end-to-end.

Off-product Billing

• Built a data pipeline to automate an off-product billing process which was taking up to 150h/month of manual work. Collaborated with billing ops, finance and solution engineers.

• Built ETL pipelines with Airflow and dbt to create billable records from product data in the BigQuery data warehouse.

• Implemented event-driven microservices to synchronise billable records to Zuora, a billing management system. Built services in Golang, used PubSub queues for async communication and Prometheus / Grafana for observability and performance monitoring. Processed on average 2M billable records within 15 mins.

• Designed and implemented the database schema and APIs for a paid ad matchmaking platform between brands and influencers.

• Built the APIs for a user identity verification system, including document upload and internal dashboard for manual review. Improved code coverage by 15% with unit tests.
