# Chad Ackerman > Design @ Pulley Location: San Francisco, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/chadackerman I lead product design for complex domains by using my skills as a designer, grounded in the power of creative exploration from art, iterative feedback loops from the scientific method, and focusing the design intent on the user. Design is a means to an end – to evoke an emotion, achieve a business goal or performance metric, retain talent and keep a brand relevant, and so on – without defining the end, the work will ultimately fall short. You’re not making change unless you’re making. As a designer, I’m an idealist at heart, a realist in practice, with a strong bias for action. ## Work Experience ### Product Designer @ Pulley Jan 2025 – Present | San Francisco, California, United States ### Founding Design Lead @ Motif Analytics Jan 2023 – Jan 2025 | San Francisco, CA Motif was acquired January of 2025. Nearly every inch of what you see and interact with in our marketing and product experience is my fault err responsibility (the double-edged sword of being a founding designer). ### Director of Product Design @ Radar Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 | San Francisco, California, United States Lead the Product Design team at Radar designing location infrastructure for Operations, Product, and Developer users.
