Also a few months away from graduating with my culinary degree. Then March 2020 hit. If you would have told me before then that restaurants would be shut down. I would have laughed at you, and probably tried to check your temperature. I began to look around for ways to make a living from home. At that time my sister was starting a cohort of software engineering at General Assembly. She introduced me to this app called Career Karma. I got on their Zoom calls, and one of the founders would not let me sit anonymous, and used to make me talk to him about the goals I wanted to pursue in software engineering. It's something about saying your goals out loud that will allow you to eventually pursue them. I attended and finished Flatiron School for software engineering.
