I led the redesign of one of Apple's most widely used internal tools, working closely with 2-4 designers, a project manager, and engineers. I championed the project vision, encouraged change, and facilitated relationships with cross-functional teams. I organized project planning and prioritized features based on resource management, negotiated engineering priorities, as well as creating interaction and visual design deliverables.
Key Achievements:
Improved Employee Productivity: Redesigned visual information organization and overhauled key features from the ground up to create intuitive and quick workflows for both macOS and iOS apps, improving the user experience for over 150,000 employees.
Drove Strategic Initiatives: Managed both formal and informal research studies to gather information about user needs and test iterative designs.
Championed Inclusive Design: Led initiative to include voluntary pronoun definition within app and alternative pronoun options, as well as maintaining accessible design standard and facilitating relationship between AX QA and development teams.
Facilitated Junior Team Member Growth: Mentored junior designer and research intern on product design best practices, observational research study design, user research, and cross-functional relationship management.
