I build captivating web and mobile applications along with the complex systems behind them. Having worked at three Y Combinator-backed B2C startups, I’ve gotten really good at jumping into a new codebase and making an immediate business-level impact, whether it’s consolidating user attribution and marketing data, building out an OCR-based form upload system, or overhauling the way that users review and classify their business expenses. 

My technical expertise is primarily in JavaScript and Python, with experience in multiple SQL and NoSQL databases, cloud computing systems, and other developer tools. ### Software Engineer @ Keeper
Jan 2021 – Present | San Francisco, California, United States
∙ Built and maintained OCR-based document upload system for tax filing software in order to improve tax return accuracy.
∙ Implemented major UI and functionality improvements to core features of the company's product, a React Native mobile app that enables users to review and classify their business expenses.
∙ Revamped backend subscriptions logic to completely eliminate duplicate subscription issues and reduce disputed charges.
∙ Served as tech lead for the section of the product team dedicated to the mobile app and expense review system, creating product roadmaps and monitoring progress.
∙ Mentored junior engineers, interviewed candidates, and worked with autonomy on large projects central to the business.

∙ Took on feature development for early-stage startup in the restaurant space while company went through the Y Combinator accelerator.
∙ Added functionality to subscriptions service by enabling add-ons, one-off purchasing, flexible start dates, and on-site redemption of subscription credits.
∙ Built full-stack interactive editor to adapt a JSON-based onboarding system for use by operations team, reducing engineering time spent on restaurant onboarding by over 90%.

### Software Engineer @ Cambly Inc.
Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 | San Francisco, California, United States
• Built and maintained user attribution system featuring ETL that loaded ad spend and attribution data into BigQuery to be consumed by BI tools. Gathered data from various ad platforms, a mobile attribution provider, and Cambly's operations teams using APIs, open-source tools, and internal tools. Coordinated migration to new system across distributed marketing teams.
• Created web framework for Cambly’s SPA to report user events to ad platforms in order to more efficiently re-target users. This framework subscribed to database changes and used locks to avoid double-reporting events in cases where users had multiple browser tabs open.
• Worked on several infrastructure projects, including transitioning the codebase from Python 2 to Python 3 and migrating servers into a Heroku private space to avoid hitting MongoDb's bandwidth cap.
• Interviewed engineering candidates and mentored new engineers on the team.
