Support the Cast&Crew Start+ product as a Front-End Engineer. Start+ is an employee onboarding web application that allows production studios to quickly fulfill their hiring needs and provides them with the visibility needed along the way with easy-to-use dashboards. My responsibilities are to help lead, develop, and support this product on the front-end part of the technology stack. I work cross-functionally across Cast&Crew to implement new features and promote high quality engineering practices.
•Rewrote the entire front-end UI experience, using React, Redux Saga, and Apollo/GraphQL, to be a modern, single page application, incorporating Universal Javascript design patterns to improve our user experience.
•Migrated API requests from REST to GraphQL (Apollo), enabling more concise response payloads and reducing network traffic.
•Promoted high quality engineering practices and significantly reduced production bugs by implementing integration and unit testing using Cypress and Jest, respectively, and improved application monitoring.
•Continue to drive Start+ front-end development and promote a services oriented architecture.
