# Chia Y. > Senior Product Designer | Fintech · Payments · eCommerce · Consumer Product Experiences | Mobile & Web Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/chiay Hi there! 👋I’m a Bay Area–based Senior Product Designer working on consumer products, fintech, and eCommerce experiences across mobile and web. At Discover, I design money movement, payments, and account linking experiences in complex regulatory environments. Recent work includes CD Fund Later, digitizing a manual funding process to reduce operational overhead, as well as Amazon card provisioning using OTP verification, transfer and funding flows, and features supporting flexible loan repayment. Previously at GoPro, I worked on large-scale eCommerce experiences helping customers compare and purchase complex hardware products. My redesign of the Camera Compare experience simplified technical specs into a clearer decision framework, increasing conversion by 16.5% and revenue per user by 28.5% YoY. I enjoy tackling messy, real-world product problems — where trust, clarity, and good UX make a meaningful difference for users. Lately I’ve also been incorporating AI tools into my daily workflow — using them for research synthesis, rapid ideation, prototyping, and microcopy — to move faster and explore more design directions. ## Work Experience ### Senior Product Designer @ Discover Financial Services Jan 2025 – Present Designing money movement, payments, account linking, and verification experiences across web, iOS, and Android within complex legal, regulatory, and security environments. • Led the CD Fund Later initiative, transforming a manual, check-based funding process into a digital experience that saved hundreds of operational hours and increased customer autonomy. • Led Amazon Provisioning, an OTP-based, login-less account linking experience enabling secure card provisioning through Amazon. • Designed money movement experiences, including Transfer History and Scheduled Transfers, improving transparency and control for customers. • Contributed to Discover Personal Loan (DPL) experiences, including the Bucket Pay feature and Long-Term Assistance Program, supporting customers in managing repayment and financial hardship. • Owned end-to-end design delivery, partnering cross-functionally with product, engineering, and legal to align planning, execution, and development handoff. • Presented design work and recommendations to senior leadership, aligning stakeholders on product direction and next steps.
