The engine manages order execution, systematic trading, and mathematical libraries, which are exposed to quantitative traders in Python using pybind11. • Developed an exchange simulator in Rust using the Tokio runtime, enabling the firm to test systematic traders. Improved performance by 100x over the previous Java-based tester and introduced additional features. • Served as a Product Owner (Product Manager role) for new Quote Trader Platform. • Conducted interviews for the systems team, leading the initial technical and memory management interview portion. ### Software Engineer @ Capital One Jan 2021 – Jan 2023 | Richmond, Virginia, United States • Team worked on REST API microservices for recording case and client information at Capital One as well as several CLI tools for interacting with case software and data. APIs and tools built in Rust, Go, TypeScript, and Python. • Owned the full product cycle for an internal data science note-taking and querying platform, partnering with data science teams to identify needs, define requirements, and design the solution; implemented a Go-based service that achieved unanimous positive feedback and over 100\% performance improvement through a redesigned persistence layer. • Served as "TDP Mentor." A position in which a senior developer acts as a career and skills coach for a junior developer, after completing a year on a team and achieving good performance. • Second team was a distributed systems team that worked on backend REST APIs for Capital One Card Recoveries.
