•Led the configuration and implementation of new software to store user data to increase the security, privacy, and availability of the data as Flexe worked towards a SOC 2 Type 2 audit. Implemented asynchronous APIs with monitoring to ensure that data was moved correctly between the two systems
•Led design and implementation of a self-hosted feature flagging solution, including the introduction of a new pub/sub system. Chose a replacement for our previous solution via cost estimation and feature analysis, and led the process of stakeholder approval. Reduced cost compared to prior feature flagging solution by more than 30x
•Mentored and coached engineers across teams on career development and specific technical topics like Kubernetes, Terraform, and debugging cloud services
•Led the formation of a new engineering team, including setting up scrum and on call processes and coaching 4 other engineers new to the team
•Led the implementation of a rollback tool that decreased Mean Time To Resolution by >90%
•Led the design of multiple features related to integrations with shipping label providers and shipping services,
including delegation of the work, reporting progress to stakeholders, and some implementation tasks in Ruby and Scala.
