# Christian Crawford > Software Engineer at Accenture Location: Washington DC-Baltimore Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/christiancrawford Hello, my name is Christian Crawford. I'm a recent college graduate from the illustrious Hampton University with a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems. I developed my love for technology from a young age and it has only grown stronger as I continued to learn more throughout the years. This passion led me to take courses in web design and development and Java programming in high school. I also pursued and participated in hackathons, personal programming, design projects, pitch competitions, and a software engineering boot camp. I have recently had a software engineering internship at Target. During this internship, I was exposed to different concepts, languages, tools, and a fast pace and welcoming work environment. I was exposed to software tools and languages including Kotlin, Groovy, MongoDB, Grafana, unit testing, Typescript, Jira, and many more. Currently, I am a User Experience lead at Hampton University for BVCC and pursuing an internship and other opportunities. Also, in January 2022, I was a Wintern for Morning Star. I am open and excited for future collaboration and creation with other software engineers, game developers, and other creators. I love to hear about computer science-related topics, gaming, anime, and anything else. So, please feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn or send me an email! ## Work Experience ### Software Engineer @ Accenture Federal Services Jan 2023 – Present ### HBCU Academy of Excellence Participant @ Bloomberg Jan 2023 – Jan 2023 ### Beta Tester @ RemNote Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 ### Intellectual Property, Protection & Security Intern @ Entertainment Software Association Jan 2022 – Jan 2022 ### User Experience Lead @ Black Venture Capital Consortium (BVCC) Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 | Hampton, Virginia, United States ### CODE-GEO Participant @ Geosciences of Virginia Tech Jan 2022 – Jan 2022 · Participated in a week-long program where participants learn computer programming and data analysis that applied to real-world volcanic hazards assessment · Investigated change in the magma reservoir at TZVOLCANO Station OLO6 utilizing data analysis and encoding tools including the Linux terminal, Vim text editor, shell scripting, awk, Jupyter Notebooks, Python, and Generic Mapping Tools · Funded by the National Science Foundation CAREER program · Presented our research to a team of geoscience specialists ### Winter Intern @ Morningstar Jan 2022 – Jan 2022 | Remote · Participated in a one-week internship with workshops regarding personal branding, finance, leadership, and Morningstar's products · Researched for our given use case study concerning ESG(environmental, social, and governance) data analytics and visualization · Presented our solutions for the use case to a panel of specialists ### Software Engineer @ Target Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 · Worked in Kotlin to implement Support-API functionality, which allows team members to reduce time spent identifying issues by more than half while adhering to Agile principles and utilizing a Jira board. · Implemented React and TypeScript to create a User Interface for Support-API functionality · Implemented unit testing for both backend in Groovy to ensure the efficiency of Support-API ### Undergraduate Student Researcher @ Hampton University NanoHU Program Jan 2018 – Jan 2019 · Assisted by NanoHU, government funded Nano-science research program for STEM undergraduates attending HBCUs · Analyzed public Nano-science related simulators, collected data and structured a comparative analysis to guide researchers on the proper simulators to be assessed · Presented research at the Caribbean Health Disparities Conference And School of Science Research Symposium ### Google Hackathon @ Google Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 · Participated in a 24-hour hackathon hosted by Google between 3 HBCUs: Hampton University, Howard University, and Morgan State University · Designed and developed the User Interface of the web application, Listening Party by utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Sublime Text · Presented the purpose and functionality of the project as a unique approach for connecting people together through their love of music by sharing radio stations to experience music together ### Google Summer Science Institute Program @ Google Jan 2017 – Jan 2017 | Hampton University · Selected to attend the Computer Science Summer Institute hosted by Google at Hampton University, an intensive three-month programming course taught by Google engineers. · Learned 5 programming languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, and Java). ## Education ### Computer Information Systems Hampton University ### Laurens District 55 High School ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/christianccrawford - Website: https://christianccrawford.github.io/ --- Source: https://flows.cv/christiancrawford JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/christiancrawford/resume.json Last updated: 2026-04-05
